Stakeholders: FBI Misinterpreting Law, Slowing Interstate Telehealth

Five interstate licensure compact leaders say the FBI is misinterpreting state laws that require federal background checks of providers, which is preventing -- or slowing -- states from joining interstate licensure compacts as demand for treatment across state lines via telehealth skyrockets with the recent two-year extension of most COVID-19 pandemic-era waivers.
