More than 70 telehealth stakeholders are asking the Drug Enforcement Administration to modify its plan to reinstate in-person requirements for the prescribing of most controlled substances, saying a more flexible approach that would allow telehealth prescribing using a special registration process is needed when controlled substances are prescribed as part of a mental health treatment plan.
