United Healthcare’s recent move to limit remote physiologic monitoring (RPM) coverage to patients with heart failure and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy across its Medicare Advantage and commercial plans in 2026 has rattled an industry already grappling with Office of Inspector General (OIG) audits and calls for more guardrails.
