New CPT Codes Reflect Win For RPM Amid Fraud Reports, Mixed Hypertension Use Case

The American Medical Association’s CPT Editorial Panel approved six new and revised existing remote patient monitoring (RPM) codes, effectively removing a requirement for providers to collect 16 days' worth of data per billing cycle to bill RPM codes. However, it’s unclear whether CMS will have the appetite to incorporate the new RPM supply and management codes into the 2026 Physician Fee Schedule.
