Telehealth stakeholders are livid the Drug Enforcement Administration proposed late Friday (Feb. 24) to reinstate in-person prescribing requirements for certain controlled substances , and a key lobby group is laying plans to press both the administration and Congress to let telehealth prescribing continue after the COVID-19 public health emergency ends May 11, saying it’s a matter of life or death for some patients.
