Multiple Republican-controlled state legislatures have passed or are pursuing bills that require state medical boards to revoke or suspend providers' licenses if they are found to have furnished abortion services to patients located in states where the procedure is banned amid the rapidly changing medical landscape since the overturn of Roe V.
