House Ways & Means Democrat Lloyd Doggett (TX) plans to unveil a souped-up Medicare Part D price negotiation bill that goes further than other Democratic bills on the topic by allowing the government to cut a drug's exclusivity short and allow generic competition when a drug maker refuses to offer a reasonable price, according to consumer group Public Citizen, which is slated to appear alongside Doggett at a press briefing Wednesday (July 25) to unveil the legislation.
