Large Employers: Wider Preventive-Care Definition Better Than Point-Of-Sale Rebates

A group representing large employers says the Trump administration's proposal to share drug rebates with seniors would not lower prices and instead recommends the IRS broaden the definition of preventive care. The ERISA Industry Committee (ERIC) says its proposal would work like this: The IRS would rewrite its definition of preventive care so high-deductible health plan sponsors could provide first-dollar coverage of chronic condition management and medications.
