Report: Pennsylvania Medicaid Paid $7 Million Extra, Blames PBMs

An audit of Pennsylvania Medicaid found an extra $7 million was spent for prescription drug benefits in 2022 because of pharmacy benefit managers, a lack of oversight from the state’s Department of Human Services (DHS) and a lack of transparency from the PBMs.
