Lawmakers Reintroduce Bill To Eliminate IRA’s ‘Pill Penalty’

A bipartisan group of lawmakers led by Rep. Greg Murphy (R-NC) reintroduced the Ensuring Pathways to Innovative Cures (EPIC) Act to counter what they call a “pill penalty” in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which they argue discourages research into small molecule drugs.
