Int’l Pricing Index Rule Would Take Savings From Drug Pricing Bills

If CMS formally proposes an International Pricing Index rule, it would reduce the savings that could be claimed in drug pricing legislation, making it more difficult for Congress to pay for capping seniors’ annual drug costs, extending Medicare programs and policies, and instituting other policy priorities in a year-end spending package to which drug pricing legislation is expected to be attached, sources say.
