House Panel Passes Advance Notice Drug-Pricing Transparency Bill

The House Energy & Commerce Committee passed a drug-pricing transparency bill that would require drug makers to give HHS advance notice of price hikes with justification. The FAIR Drug Pricing Act was also included in the Senate health committee’s package on lowering health care costs, but senators may water down that bill before it gets to the Senate floor.
