Governors Call For Closed Medicaid Formularies, Drug Imports

The bipartisan National Governors Association wants the federal government to let states import drugs and exclude Medicaid coverage of fast-tracked, first-in-class drugs while additional tests are done on them. The governors made the recommendations to the House Energy & Commerce and Ways & Means committees, which prior to the Memorial Day recess jointly released draft, bipartisan legislation to lower drug prices.
