In Florida, Spread Pricing Costs $8.64 Per Pharmacy Claim

"In Florida, it costs an average $8.64 per pharmacy claim when pharmacy benefit managers use spread pricing, compared to the average $1.45 cost for pass-through arrangements," according to a report funded by the Florida’s Agency for Healthcare Administration. However, the report says the cost to taxpayers is probably similar regardless of which arrangement is used.
