The Department of Justice responded to claims from the Chamber of Commerce aimed at blocking the Inflation Reduction Act’s Medicare drug negotiation program in a court filing on Friday (Dec.15), saying the venue is improper, the plaintiffs lack associational standing, the court does not have subject-matter jurisdiction over the challenges to the excise tax and the claims on the excise-tax would fail on the merits.
