The CEOs of three major pharmaceutical companies blamed pharmacy benefit managers for the high out-of-pockets faced by patients and refused Senate health committee Chair Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) request that they commit to reducing the list price of certain drugs that cost three times more in the United States than in other developed nations during Thursday’s hearing on high drug costs.
