Biden Urged To Use War Powers For Global Vaccine Production

The Biden administration could use the Defense Production Act to loosen up access to cell lines and manufacturing expertise for coronavirus vaccines if the World Trade Organization follows the U.S. government’s advice to waive patent protections for the vaccines, according to advocates for breaking coronavirus vaccine patents, including Knowledge Ecology International and Public Citizen.
