Medicare post-acute care legislation is back on the House floor this week after being pulled the week before August recess, according to a voting schedule by House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). The bipartisan, bicameral bill would standardize patient assessments among the four post-acute care settings, which in turn would allow patient outcomes to be compared across settings so that lawmakers could weigh pay reforms as site-neutral and bundled payment in the years ahead.
