Senate Passes Bill Preserving FDA Role In Approving Emergency Products

The Senate on Thursday (Nov. 16) passed by unanimous consent sidecar legislation that preserves FDA's role in approving emergency medical products needed for troops -- a deal that FDA and the White House helped broker to clarify controversial language in the 2018 Defense authorization bill that would have given the emergency approval role to the Department of Defense (DOD).
