Gottlieb Says FDA Will Continue To Prohibit Office-Use Compounding

Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) said Republicans plan to include in the report accompanying the 2018 FDA spending bill a measure encouraging the agency to allow office-use compounding, which the longtime House Appropriations member says would undermine the Drug Quality and Security Act. DeLauro mentioned the measure one day after FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb said the agency will continue to take regulatory action against compounders to protect public health.
