FDA Announces Cyber Playbook, MOUs With Device Stakeholders

FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb announced three new initiatives aimed at increasing cybersecurity preparedness and information-sharing among medical device stakeholders, particularly among health care delivery organizations (HDOs) such as hospitals. The initiatives include a cybersecurity playbook for HDOs and two memoranda of understanding (MOUs) which create cybersecurity information sharing groups.
