USDA Reports First Case Of HPAI In Swine, Raising Transmissibility Concerns

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has identified a case of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI or H5N1) in a pig for the first time, causing experts to fear an increased potential for the virus to travel from human to human and even cause a possible pandemic.
