United, Other Insurers Extend Cost-Free COVID-19 Testing, Treatment

Several major insurers have extended cost-free testing and treatment for COVID-19 as the virus continues to surge across the country, and as HHS extended the official public health emergency for an additional 90 days. On Friday (July 24), UnitedHealthcare confirmed to Inside Health Policy that it will extend the cost-free coverage through Oct. 22.
