The uninsured rate among adults has increased significantly since 2016, surging from 12.7 percent to 15.5 percent over the past two years, due mainly to actions by the Trump administration to weaken the Affordable Care Act, according to survey results released Tuesday (May 1) by the Commonwealth Fund.
