Stimulus Allows More Telehealth Services Pre-Deductible, Speeds Vaccine Coverage

The GOP-led COVID-19 stimulus bill released Thursday would ease restrictions on high-deductible health plans’ ability to cover telehealth services prior to the deductible as some large employers had been pushing, but on a temporary basis. The legislation also would require group and individual market plans cover COVID testing without cost-sharing, ensure speedy coverage of a COVID-19 vaccine and tweak language on reimbursement requirements for labs that was included in the second stimulus.
