Federal policymakers should support certification processes for artificial intelligence tools beyond the scope of FDA regulations, leverage CMS payments to incentivize health AI usage, fund health AI research and encourage professional societies to tackle AI liability questions, experts wrote in a Health Affairs article last Wednesday (Jan. 22).
