Senate Passes Continuing Resolution With Extenders, DSH-Cut Delay

A continuing resolution to fund the government and a number of so-called health extenders through Nov. 21 passed the Senate on Thursday (Sept. 26) and the president is expected to sign the legislation. America’s Essential Hospitals praised the Senate for passing the bill, which also includes a short-term delay of the Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital pay cuts, and asked the Senate to support a permanent repeal of the cuts.
