Senate Approps Advances HHS Bill With Increases For Research Agencies

The Senate Appropriations Committee has passed a fiscal 2025 funding bill for HHS that includes increases for biomedical research, a bill that is unlikely to become law but provides a look at what Democrats might do if they control Congress after the November election and showcases a more bipartisan process than the House’s controversial spending bills to decrease such research and insert partisan poison pills.
