INDIANAPOLIS -- As wide-ranging stakeholders -- including Democratic lawmakers, state officials, insurers, providers and consumers advocates -- step up their lobbying to continue the enhanced Affordable Care Act tax subsidies beyond December 2025, Brian Blase, a former Trump official and president of the conservative think tank Paragon Health Institute, told Medicaid officials this month he wants to see Congress go back to the original Affordable Care Act tax subsidy structure, alleging fraud is costing taxpayers billions.
