Oregon Takes Major Step Toward BHP, Submits Application To CMS

Oregon officials this month approved and submitted to CMS a blueprint for establishing a Basic Health Plan, set to start in July 2024, that is expected to cover more than 100,000 residents by 2027. If approved, Oregon will be the third state to establish the BHP but the first to do so while not running its own exchange.
