OMB Reviewing Rule On Extreme, Uncontrollable Circumstances For ACOs

The White House Office of Management and Budget is reviewing an interim final rule on “Addressing Extreme and Uncontrollable Circumstances” for the Medicare Shared Savings program. While Clif Gaus, president and CEO of the National Association of ACOs, says the group doesn't know exactly what's in the rule, he hopes it will include more flexibility to help ACOs that are faced with circumstances beyond their control.
