OMB Reviewing Final Provider Burden Reduction Rule

The White House Office of Management and Budget on Friday (June 28) began its review of a final Medicare and Medicaid burden reduction rule that also now includes updates to hospital and critical access hospital requirements that CMS delayed finalizing earlier in June. The OMB review comes after the rule was designated a long-term action in CMS’ spring regulatory agenda, which OMB’s website says means that the agency doesn’t expect any action on the rule in the next 12 months...
