Oklahoma 1332 Waiver Process Moves Forward, State Seeks Decision By Sept. 30

CMS last week informed Oklahoma officials that the agency has conducted a preliminary review of the Section 1332 wavier the state submitted last week, which kicks of the 180-day federal review process, but a state official remains hopeful the agency will have a decision by the end of September. Oklahoma is requesting federal pass-through funding to support a reinsurance program that it says would lower premiums by 34 percent and increase enrollment by 22,000 in 2018.
