Nursing Home CNA Training Waiver Ends, CMS OKs States’ Requests Instead

Nursing homes are upset that CMS on Thursday (Oct. 6) rejected their request to extend through the public health emergency and beyond a pandemic waiver allowing facilities to employ temporary nurse aides for more than four months without certified nurse aid training.
