North Carolina Medicaid Program Will Cover Obesity Drugs

North Carolina will be the fifteenth state to cover obesity medications through its Medicaid program, the state program announced Wednesday (July 17), citing the drugs’ impact on multiple health conditions. Coverage for beneficiaries will begin Aug. 1.
