No Ruling In Lawsuit To Bar Collection Of Tax On Medicaid Plans; Taxes Collected

A federal judge has not issued any ruling in a lawsuit by six GOP-led states that attempted to block the IRS from collecting an Obamacare tax on Medicaid managed care plans. In the absence of any court order blocking the collection of the tax, Medicaid plans paid the tax as required on Oct. 1, leaving the status of the states' lawsuit uncertain.
