New Lawsuit Challenges Indiana’s Medicaid Work Requirements

Advocates for Medicaid beneficiaries on Monday (Sept. 23) filed another lawsuit challenging Medicaid work requirements -- this time by contesting the controversial policy, along with various other coverage restrictions, in an 1115 waiver for Indiana. It is the fourth federal lawsuit challenging states’ attempts -- with the encouragement of the Trump administration -- to add work requirements and other conservative policies to Medicaid.
