The White House Office of Management and Budget is reviewing a CMS proposed rule that offers an opportunity for the new administration to put its mark on the physician pay system under development by CMS, called the Quality Payment Program. One physician lobbyists thinks HHS Secretary Tom Price and CMS Administrator Seema Verma are keenly interested in mitigating what physicians view as the more onerous provisions of the pay system, but expects only some of those changes might be included...
