Minnesota Asks CMS To Reconsider 1332 BHP Funding Decision

Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton (D) is urging CMS Administrator Seema Verma to reconsider the agency's decision to reduce funding for the state's Basic Health Plan (BHP) program as part of its reinsurance waiver and provided a memo from state counsel that concludes CMS has the authority to make the requested change. Dayton has already publicly denounced CMS' move to cut the BHP funding, saying in an earlier letter that CMS officials had repeatedly said the money would be held harmless...
