Medicare To Cut Lab Pay For Delays In COVID-19 Test Results

Medicare next year will cut pay for labs that take more than two days to turn around COVID-19 test results, CMS announced Thursday (Oct. 15). Starting Jan. 1, Medicare will pay $100 for results within two days, and labs that take longer will be paid $75.
