Medicaid Advocates Sue Florida In First Major Unwinding Lawsuit

Medicaid beneficiary advocates filed the first major post-pandemic redeterminations lawsuit on Tuesday (Aug. 22), arguing Florida’s Medicaid renewal termination letters are so vague that they violate federal requirements and can’t count as adequate notice to the nearly 5 million enrollees in the state who need details on eligibility decisions to determine their next steps, like whether to contest their termination.
