MCOs Expect Work Requirements To Spread Beyond Expansion Population

States will likely expand Congress’ new work requirements beyond the Medicaid expansion population, and the more frequent eligibly checks effective in 2027 will result in more coverage losses than the Congressional Budget Office’s estimates, Medicaid Health Plans of America (MHPA) President and CEO Craig Kennedy predicted during a Wednesday (July 23) webinar on implications of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
