CMS’ Medicaid chief, an outspoken critic of Medicaid expansion, is leaving the agency after less than three months on the job. Mary Mayhew, the director of the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services, is resigning to run Florida’s health care agency under the state’s incoming Republican governor, Ron DeSantis.
