Marks: FDA May Accept Lower Efficacy For Pediatric COVID-19 Vaccines

FDA biologics center Director Peter Marks recently told lawmakers the agency might accept less than 50% efficacy for COVID-19 vaccines for kids, especially if the vaccines mirror the efficacy for adult vaccines, coming as the agency faces pressure to authorize a vaccine for children under the age of 5 and as parents of young children grow increasingly frustrated with the lack of protection for kids.
