Makary Vows To Speed Up Drug Approvals, Expand OTC Access

President Donald Trump’s FDA nominee, Marty Makary, pledged Thursday to accelerate the approval of biosimilars and generic drugs, allow over-the-counter access to certain prescription products, crack down on pharmaceutical patent tactics, and integrate artificial intelligence to enhance the agency’s review process.
