MACPAC Study Reveals Challenges With Ex Parte Medicaid Renewals

States are running into several complications trying to complete Medicaid renewals using third-party information, or via ex parte processes, but experts say additional guidance from CMS on asset appreciation and increased transparency into the streamlined renewal process would help, according to a recent Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission study.
