MACPAC Approves Chapters On State Practices To Improve Maternal Health

The Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission Thursday (April 2) approved two chapters outlining ways such as value-based purchasing that Medicaid could be used to improve maternal health, including for beneficiaries with substance use disorders, although the chapters to be included in the commission’s June report to Congress don’t make recommendations.
