The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) last month proposed a new definition for long COVID to be used by government entities, and authors noted it does not come with a biomarker allowing for straightforward diagnosis -- but that doesn’t mean addressing long COVID isn’t still possible, according to advocates who are hoping the definition will lead to more research.
