Lawmakers Announce Partial Approps Deal Including FDA, New CR

Congressional leaders have agreed on the first slate of overdue fiscal year 2024 appropriations bills for agencies including FDA as well as a pair of short-term funding measures to keep the government open as they work through the appropriations process -- a move that also buys a little more time for work on a stripped-down health package, with a source saying discussions continue on a Medicare physician pay patch.
