Lawmaker Says FDA Moving Slow On E-Cigarettes, CDC Should Lead Ban

A House Democrat suggested giving the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention power to pull vaping products from the market because FDA is moving slowly. He raised the issue at a House Oversight and Reform subcommittee hearing Tuesday (Sept. 24) on the outbreak of vaping-related lung injuries. The head of the subcommittee, however, later told reporters he is not currently looking into shifting authority from FDA to CDC, though he did call for FDA to issue regulations on e-cigarette flavors...
